PR0 5.0 FTW

I'm lightning fast with a shift and never missed third on the Pro 5.0

I will try the MGW though

I would def go MGW with what I have read. I own a pro 5.0 and like it more than the stock but DO NOT like having to reach and the shifter being straight up.

MGW is the shortest, most precise, smoothest, well constructed shifter i have ever seen. the throw is retardedly short and keep in mind it's adjustable 360 degrees as well. MGW all the way! :Teh-Win:

This post is for those who would like a comparison of the Triax shifter and the Pro 5.0 from someone who has ACTUALLY used both.

I've had a chance to use all three actually. Just that the Triax was in my GT while the Pro 5.0 and MGW were in Cobra's. I still say the MGW is the best shifter available, but if I was ONLY given a choice between the Triax or Pro 5.0 I choose the Pro 5.0 model. Thing is its still not that great as far as handle position is concerned. That's why I supplemented my Pro 5.0 with an adjustable handle from MGW.

You two gents should try their medium handle. It's perfect. The shorty was too hardcore of a reach for me. The medium is just right and it actually quieted the shifter down as well. I was very pleased with the exchange with Pro 5.0 (the company). I called about 4 months after I bought it and just said, "I'm not happy with the shorty handle...got anything else?" Indeed they did.

Pro 5.0 is all I would use.. As quick as my car revs, I would definately miss gears with other shifters.

Post up when you get 'em swapped. I'm interested to see if there is really any difference between them.

Just installed it last night.
Haven't driven yet.
However, I have started the car up and noticed more noise vibrating my Cobra Style shift knob.
I will shove some rubber/etc into the knob and see if it quiets down.
So far, the handle is about 3x the weight of the Steeda handle, and feels much more durable.

I have the stock grip and noticed a good deal of noise reduction.

Yup, I noticed it was heavier and had a cool anodized finish on it. Definitely felt like a durable product.

I wonder why I get more noise.
BTW...the Pro- 5.0 medium handle is slightly shorter than the Triax handle.
