proper transmission break in! need help

ok im puttin a new t45 5 speed tranny back in my 2000 gt and i need to no the proper break in method! how long, everything

Just drive it and don't worry about it. There's really nothing to break in with a standard trans. Even the auto's don't require much more than bringing them up to normal operating temperature before romping on it. The clutch will feel funny (assuming you replaced it as well) for the first while until the fuzz has been "worn off" of the disk, but after that it'll drive as normal as ever.

Im not really sure. When I put my new 3650 in I took it easy for about 500 miles or so. New clutch too?

well its gettin put in monday and my dad said i dont need to replace the clutch yet which i told him since its out and i wont get carged for the clutch install that i need to while its out. i want a kink cobra in it

my dads being a butt bout it i told him the king cobra cluth is only 170 and i wont get charged labor to put in the clutch since the trans is gettin put in and he still says no i dont need a new clutch

Just take it easy for 500 miles or so. No banging gears hard or speed shifting. Try to avoid long highway driving or getting the trans very hot. Shift slow.

You just want to make sure the fluid circulates everywhere and all the bearings seat themselves. Nothing really special to do really

Often times the only problem with a "broken" T-45 is the clutch assembly...so yeah...get a new clutch lmao.

Just but it and don't say anything. If he drives it and notices a stronger clutch, say they adjusted it a bit.
