Ok...now myself personally, dont know the names of each member for every car that I like. There should be a thread created where each member of 5.0 Talk can post a picture of their car. Each person interested in voting can peruse the thread (no comments, just pictures) and determine who they think should be listed as a potential candidate.
From learning the car via aforementioned thread the nominator can then nominate his/her choice.
Negative... We're not going to make a sticky tree outtah 5oh talk nor do you need to be familiar with every car on SN to make a nomination. I doubt that this is how magazines pic their car of the month.
Here's what I would do if I were going to nominate a car for FOM that I thought was worthy.
I would go through the process of obtaining both pictures and pertinent data about the car that I want to nominate (you guys set the rules on what data and pics are the minimum requirements). If I don't have all of that information, then I'd contact the car owner and let him/her know what I needed. Perhaps something like:
Pics:
Front
Side
Rear
Car Data:
Year
Color
Engine Displacement
Engine Mods etc.
Once I've got all this stuff, I'd submit it in the nomination thread. Nominations that don't have the minimum requirement (set by you) are dicsarded when the voting thread is created.
We don't require a stack of stickies to make this thing work.
I might also mention that there is already a sticky posted at the top of this forum with NUMEROUS picture posts of cars owned by various members of SN. That sticky will disappear and it's link will be placed in the Winner's thread for quick reference.
this could also be a way for stanget to cover some fee's they have...say at the end of the year...each fotm is put into a calender for the next year...and then sold..
or maybe a special type of certificate or something signed by the 5.0 talk mods or something...signed and then scanned and pasted on it...with a frontal side shot or something...
