Fuel injection..

Pro:

More accurate for air/fuel mixture
Better with emissions controls (if its an issue)

Uh I can't think of anything else.. lol im sure there are a lot more reasons

Cons:

Lots of wiring
Common failures in sensors and other electronics
More parts you gotta get
More expensive to build up (Injectors, Maf's, Tuning..)
Harder to diagnose problems (For most people)

And im sure there are more also..

As for carbs I know nothing about them but im sure someone can chime in and tell you everything about them

Im probably not much help, but no one else posted so I figure I could help a little bit

If you have the $$$$ and patience EFI. You become the heart of the car when you tune with EFI.
you can control EVERYTHING! It's simply amazing.

As for Carb, it's all around easier to deal with.

Yes, the T5 came stock on the 5.0 Mustang. Just make sure you have the right bell housing if you got the T5 off something else.

4 banger t-5 are weaker than the 5.0 t5. You will just tear up the tranny. Save yourself the trouble and get the t5 out of a 5.0
