Whats the lowdown on them? Is anyone running them in their stangs? Are they actually better than sparks?

there was another thread on this in tech, the best conclusion that was thrown out there was an example on lighters and a pool of gas.

a crappy match and a $300 zippo will light a pool of gas just the same, it's too small an amount of fuel to be affected that much.

plus, there's a reason spark plugs haven't changed much in 100 years

those are the conclusions form the other thread, i personally think they're cool, but too expensive and too new to work well with our engines prone to blow out

When does Ford recommend replacing the original plugs?

Yeah...I started that other thread. Figured that if the spark plug could be improved on that much , it already would have been done

From their website...

"Instead of 50 watts of peak power typical of all spark plugs, pulse plugs deliver up to 10 times more peak power. It takes electrical power to light fuel. The more power (watts) the better. Nothing can compete with Pulstar™."

So... you might need them if you are having trouble igniting your fuel.

But if you are having trouble igniting your fuel, its probably not your spark plug's fault. F1 guys manage to get their spark plugs to work about 10,000 times a minute...

All the spark does is ignite. The flames propogate throughout the cylinder on their own. So tell me how more current will increase torque at all, let alone by an advertised 4-12%.

I'm thinking it's a great idea, and probably would have made tons of money if it was invented before the spark plug was. Then the spark plug would have come along and taken all the sales because they're so much cheaper to manufacture. Oh well...

Marketing 101 trying to sell an unnecessary product.

The cheap OEM motorcraft is a damn good plug. Use it
