I ordered these from Brenspeed this morning. Couldn't beat the price at $189 compared to the $420 summit racing wants for them. Anyone ordered from Brenspeed before and now how long they take to get stuff out to you?

I'm somewhat interested in these but don't know if I want that much sound from having no muffler. I may just go with the Violators.

I ordered my Pypes O/R H pipe on a Thursday morning and it arrived Friday. (the next day)

His shipping is quick. You'll get it by the end of the week, as long as it's in stock.

I never had to wait a whole week the two times I've ordered from him.

Well, my exhaust is 2 hours away at 12:15 AM but isn't supposed to be here till tomorrow. I love UPS! LOL.
It was nice that Brent got them out that day though. I'll definitely be buying from him again.

Yeah, his free shipping is faster than express shipping with most places. I've had OVERNIGHT shipping take 3 days before!

I actually just got my H pypes yesterday. I am a volunteer FF and since its so cold here on LI - they are letting me use a garage at the firehouse to do the switch out.

Does anyone know the exact tools I will need to do this install? Since I will have my car apart - I dont want to have to worry about driving home to get anything.

Thanks!
Nick

I started to do the install.... and gave up lol. It was just to much trying to do it with a light, in the dark, in the rain!

I will wait until Sunday so I can do it during the day!

Spray the nuts and studs with pb blaster. It will go a lot smoother and quicker this way. You'll need a couple of extensions and a swivel. I didn't use PB blaster on the '05 and it took about 2 hours. With the '07 I used PB blaster and it took about 45 minutes. I also took the batter out, to get better light in and have more access to the electric connections for the O2 sensors.

Getting those mufflers off was a bitch. I was seconds away from cutting them off but didn't b/c I wanted to keep them If I didnt like the pypes MD race pipes....

Well ... I LOVE them. They truly sound how a Mustang should. I even took a 45 min drive on the highway last night to go out and they were great. If anyone is looking for a deep growl, spend $189 from brenspeed and get the Pypes MD race pipes. You'll love them.

I'll get a video clip of them on here later today. It's snowing right now in Ohio and it's cold as hell.

Oh btw.. My passenger side sits a little lower than my driver side... Do I just bend that hanger to get it to sit up ?

You can, but shouldn't. Loosen the clamp on the overaxle pipe where it meets the h pipe. This will allow you to swivel it into position. You will also need to loosen the muffler delete. Having a helper here really helps. Then you just twist both until they're in the right position and tighten it up.

My video recorder is too old even though it's only 5 years old now. It's a Sony Digital8 and has a memory card and 8mm tape. I can't record on my memory card b/c it's too small, I can only take pictures with it. I haven't found any larger memory card for it yet either.

It's kinda still got the stock cats....
Appearance wise it still has the cats. One of the catalysts inside the cat broke lose and was rattling. I cut it open, took it out, and welded it back up. Since the other cat was right there I did the same to it.

I had my Violators installed Sat. and I love the sound. No drone, deep rumble at idle, and deep/aggressive at WOT. Like a muscle car should sound. The guy who did the install said it was one of the easiest swaps he had ever done. Between us BSing and him working it took him about 30-40 mins. He did have to loosen the mid pipe to center the pass. side muffler tip but besides that nothing out of the ordinary. Best bang for the buck.
