I searched but didn't find anything readily available in the historical posts or in my Haynes manual... so questions:
My 'Stang is completely stock except for the mods listed in signature. I am thinking of spending some cash for gears in the near future and want to do it smart and right.
1) Did the Cobra (1995) rear end come with limited slip from the factory? When I light up the tires both tires spin, indicating to me that it has one, but I don't know if it's stock or if the prior owner slammed something in there.
2) If you have to yank the axles to repl the gears, doesn't it make sense to replace the axles with lighter weight ones to minimize the weight you are pushing and also maximize the HP? If so, does anyone have recommendations of lightweight axles out there?
3) Are the axles 31 or 28 spline (stock)?
Any other advice about repl gears?
