Has anybody replaced there quarter panels or had there quarter panels replaced with a quarter repair panel from National parts depot. It would be for a 69 sportsroof. Just wondering about the quality of these replacement panels.
I just replaced a quarter for a 67 I got from Branda. It was a repop and I am impressed with the quality. The C-scoop lines matched the doors very nicely and length fit great.. no major problems at all!
I'll be doing the quarters on my 69 in a couple of months (other projects lined up already). From what I've read and from searching, most people think the NPD panels are the best available. The door skin I just bought looks like a perfect match.
I have updated my site with the starting work on my quarter panel replacement. It is welded in place and I about ready for body work. I can get you more pics if you want if you need to see how it fits length wise and where the body lines are in respect to the doors.
FYI, I have also heard NPD is good, but I just bought a ton of stuff at one time from Branda and got the quarter from them.
I did one of my quarter skins with a repop panel from NPD. Other than them sending me the wrong panel and refusing to pay for return shipping the parts fit fine. Repop parts are hit or miss.
