Im trying to figure out if its possible to make 67 Shelby Taillight Assemblies fit on a 66 Coupe yes i know the taillight panels are diffrent but has anyone done this to a 66 or 65? ive seen them on 67 68's with the addition of the fiberglass panel just was wondering if anyone has done this and could you pls explain how you did,

Obviously they wont mold right in to the stock 66 panel becasuse the 67 assemblies arent flat mounting. but is it possible to use the 67 fiberglass panel and mold it to the 66 taillight panel?

any help would be greatly aperciated

I wouldn't suggest using the 67's!

It's easier to just get the 68 Shelby or Cal Special lenses and frames, use three 65-66 original housings on each side spaced an inch apart.

There was a recent write-up on this in Mustang & Fords. I have converted it to a .pdf. If you want it, PM me and I'll shoot you a copy...

RayjunCayjun,
I saw one this weekend on a 641/2 coupe. It was top notch. He used 67 shelby tail lights. I have some pics. I think I may have some from in the trunk as well. I will email some if you give me your address. I am new to sight so I don't know how to email you through stangnet. Plus I have to get pics on my computer so it might be a couple of days.
