My friend brought a 94 Gt a couple of months ago. He has installed a 347 w/supercharger ( S-trim ) along with long tube headers,H-pipe and Spintech prostreet mufflers w/turn downs. When he drives the car it sounds like he is running open headers ( sounds like crap). He has not taken his car to get tuned ( running the stock computer ) and I say once he gets it tuned and a custom chip burned for it, the car will run alot better and the exhaust will sound alot better. What do you guys think? My friend thinks even with a tune the car will still sound like crap. He wants to put Flowmasters on before he gets it tuned. I told him to wait until after the tune, then if he still thinks the car sounds crappy then he could put the flowmasters on. All input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

doesn't have an exhuast leak does he? could be why it sounds like that

i'm not too familiar w/ the spintech's but i'm sure they are pretty loud with that setup and turn downs

i doubt it would sound different after the tune. and it'd probably be optimal to have everything set before you get a chip

No exhaust leak. When the tune is done he said if it still sounds like crap he is going to try a set of MAC Pro Dumps. Does anyone here run Pro Dumps? If so how do you like the sound?? I hate to see him waste money.

I think turn downs and dumps both sound like azz. A tune up isn't going to improve the soudn BUT he definately should get it especially running a combo like that.

Throwing flows on will definately improve his exhaust.
