16 inch rim would have a 7 or 7.5 (info from ordering a new rim from Ford).

it only works when i click on 7.5. so my guess is 16x7.5

i cant remember off hand and I cant check it because I have it in storage, it has tires on it from the previous owner. why does it matter what the tire size is, you can put different sizes on different width wheels. i just figured someone would know off hand

I'm not trying to be a dick. Sorry if it came across that way.

But I'm sure there is a spot on the RIM that you could measure the width. And since when is the tire in the way to get your 16'', 17'', or 18'' measurement.

thats no problem, I dont need to know how big the wheel is, I already know its a 16" wheel, thats not what Im asking, so no, the tire does not get in the way of that, but measuring the width, yes the tire does kinda get in the way.

anyone know the width of a 16" 5 lug "pony" wheel that came on the GT's

Tirerack.com says OE is 225/55-16 I know this doesn't actually tell you the width, but I figured it would help, especially if all you wanted to know it for was to get some new tires.
