Quick trans filter question. Need help

I am doing the trans filter in my moms 04 gt and when i lowered the pan This was sitting somewhere near the magnet. What is it and where does it go????

throw it away. that plug was in the dipstick tube on the assembly line to keep stuff out.

Thanks guys. ITs in the trash. I guess it is a good thing it was in there to show me it needed the filter change. mileage was at like 34k. Shifts as smooth as butter now.
