I got mine on ebay. The guy is a distributor out of Laurel, MD. They are brand new. Paid $369 which includes free sliders, harnesses and shipping. I cant wait to get them in.
They're made by a respectable up and coming company called Dynamic Auto Designs, or better known as DAD. They should be coming in either today or tomorrow. I'll get back with you all and let you know how they are.
I guess it all depends on what you consider uncomfortable and the purpose of the car. I don't see spending $800 on seats for a street/strip drag car, but then again hardcore race seats on a daily driver doesn't seem much more logical. Weight is an issue with most of us, the factory heavy weights weigh around 50lbs each.
