I'm looking for a reputable shop in Raleigh NC to take my 73 contervible to. Specifically looking at engine rebuilds, but possibly other mechanical work.

Thanks,
Darren

I've been talking with Barnes Auto Body in Zebulon... They have several full rotary restorations under their belt and they usually have a classic stang or two up there being worked on. I can't vouch yet though, I haven't had the repairs on mine done yet.

Dont know much about Barnes. I live in Chatham County and there are quite a few small shops that do engine work. They may be more reasonable than Barnes. To reasearch, just grab either a Chatham County phone book or do a google search on mechanics or auto repair. Many of these guys dont advertise that they rebuild, but if you call around, they will generally accept the work or notify you of someone who will. Also, check with Carolina Mustang in Cary. They do some work or may be able to refer you to someone.
