Can't help with anything t do with Randall's Rack, but if I were you, if you are talking about removing the actual steering shaft from the worm and sector box, you would want to contact Chock over at the forums at vintage-mustang.com he rebuilds the boxes all the time and might give you advice. That being said, you generally don't remove the shaft from the box with rack and pinion conversions...you just cut it off 2-3 inches up. What exactly are you trying to do?
