Hey

My 8.8 is crapping out on me

I had moser 28 spline axles and they wore abnormally and kept popping clips, so I had to put stock axles back in to fix, now the axles never come out, but the rear is obviously damaged it whines and makes weird noises - clunks when I take off from a stop , etc.

I am looking for a decent rebuild on my stock rear, dont want to go crazy just want reliable and both tires to spin.

car went 12.4@111 n/a on slicks with a 1.7 that could be what killed it. & it has 100shot hooked up.

http://www.oemfordparts.com/PartDetail.asp?S=1&PartID=580&SubCategoryID=26 - stock or ford motorsport? Can anyone recommend something good that isn't too crazy pricewise? I would like to use stock axles.

Thanks, Mike.

Cheapest fix..spool,not streetable though.
Get a Trac-Lok rebuild for $50 dollars mabye that will work.I have also see some Eaton and Auburn diffs. for about $380.

yeah, i think that those launches took its toll on the diff. Depending on how much money you want to spend, but i wouldn't replace it with a stock one. Eventually it will fail also. Your best bet, i feel, is to go with a eaton or auburn
