I bought it for my daughter's car seat. I figured with less cushion I'd have more room so I really need to fasten it down. Is there anyway to have it latch so I can store things under it?
You aren't supposed to place a car seat on those. They're meant to just lay there. If it's the one from YMR, the only thing that attaches it to the car is the pine-cone fasteners that hold the carpet on the rear deck. I sure as **** wouldn't trust that to hold my daughter in the car.
It has no fasteners and looks like I'll have to drill some holes. I also wouldn't see how the whole car seat idea is such a bad idea. There will still be a seat belt Its not like the seat is what keeps you in place.

IMHO, the rear seat itself should officially qualify as a legal "child seat". Putting a child seat in the rear seat is almost like putting a child seat into a child seat.
Personally, I have gone with a child booster (no back). At least that saves the thickness of the extra back cushion.
If you raise the rear-seat-delete board up high enough to store stuff underneath, won't you loose all the space you gained by removing the rear seat in the first place?
I'd like to have it fastened to where I can unlatch it and lift the bottom section up like a lid to access whatever inside. I'm gonna get ready and head to the hardware store and just pick up some screws and a drill. I'll let you know how it works out.
if i was you i'd put the seat back. the child seat is engineered to sit in a seat. its not really something you want to take any chances with, in my opinion...
Sounds like you bought the x2c motorsports kit. I had the same problem. No hardware, no instructions. I returned it for a kit from the Yellow Mustang Registry. Their kit was awesome, straight forward instructions and hinged so you can store stuff under it.
I would not used the rear seat delete to mount my child's car seat though. They aren't designed to take much weight. The most I've seen mounted on them is a NOS bottle.
i have a rear seat delete in my car and i don't use anything to hold it in place. they stay where they are supposed to be and don't shift around much at all.
