I would like to see as well since I have been doing this exact project for months now. My first attempt using wood to make the structure and then covering it to match my door panels didn't work. I didn't like how it looked. So, I am getting ready to try to make a fiberglass version.

Whats the big deal? Its fast, easy, and free!

Just fold it down.

Sorry, I'm a jerk. I couldn't help it. Here's a dancing banana to make you feel better.

http://forums.stangnet.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17818&stc=1put it together in 2 days, i could of takin a little more time to do the cuts but i was in a hurry to go to the races. i plan on getting 1" strips of aluminum that they sell at home depot to go over the the seams then put the screws back in. also i'm trying to find that black door edge moulding to put over the showing cut edge.

http://forums.stangnet.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17819&stc=1

Nope your pics did not show up. Sounds cool though. Can't wait to see how it looks, if it is the same as I envisioned for my car.

Thats another way of doing it. I envisioned something made of wood or fiberglass covered with carpet to match the interior. Where did you get that huge piece of sheet metal? Was it expensive? I want to be able to create some storage under what use to be the bottom cushion. But I like what I see.

i went to a sheet metal place and bought a 4' x 8' piece for $35 and a piece of 1" x 1" piece of aluminum square tubing to support the base. other than that all you need are the tools to cut it.......... no my neck doesn't get tan
