It's me again. I am still having issues with my rear tail light. It now partially works, but it is a little confusing to me. It lights up when I have head lights on and when I use my blinker, but does not work when I have the brakes applied. Any ideas? It's only two wires and I would have thought that it would be an either it works or doesn't, but that is not my kind of luck.

Have you already looked at the brake light switch?

are you saying the lights go OUT when you hit the brakes? Hope not...
I'd second looking at the brake switch. it's about 2/3rd's the way up the brake pedal ( if it's attached, which may be your problem!).

you have a bad ground in the system, likely the tail light buckets are corroded and causing the bad ground.
