I want to get some custom dyno tuning done, who has any experience with tuners in central alta, either Calgary, Edmonton or anywhere in between?

I had my car dyno tuned at The Mustang Shop last year. Car ran perfect. They are great guys. Matt really knows his stuff. I believe they primarily use SCT software so it may depend on what type of programmer you want or are currently using. They tune on a Mustang Dyno.

I am looking for someone to use too. Having a car that drives like stock until the go pedal is pushed is hard to accomplish.

I just need someone who can tune 600+ and still keep it drivable like it is now.

I have dealt with Matt @ The Mustang Shop, he seems to know his stuff alright, but I haven't been overly impressed with their service when trying to purchase stuff, no call backs etc.

I deal alot with Shannon @ WMS in Calgary, they are really good to deal with and are associated with Tecmotion(sp?) for their tuning and dyno work and recommend him. The only thing is I haven't dealt with this tuner and don't know anyone personally who has other than Shannon. I think I'll give them a call though. Might be the way to go.

As for the place here in Red Deer, there is a place downtown with a Mustang dyno that was purchased from WMS and he does tuning. He talks like he knows his stuff, so I let him do a Diablo chip for my old 2000 F150 and he managed to actually slow it down and it shifted way worse, even after trying to 'fix' it. I think he tunes mostly imports and stuff mainly and I definitely don't trust him to touch my stang.

I've dealt with Mathew at Tecmotion and he really seems to know just what to do to fix most problems with Mustangs. Next year after the heads/intake I plan to let him tune mine up.

As per my other post has anyone heard anything about Ed Holenberg from Wolf Performance Engineering in Winnipeg?

He has been in a bunch of Mustang magazines through out the years.

WMS= crap! Those guys 'LOST' my Procharger for 2 months until I called down there to find out where my f@%&ing Procharger was! Oh yeah, and ATI their customer service is crap too! The blowers work awesome until you need them rebuilt and they are the only lazy @#$%ers that can fix them. So you guys can use WMS at your own risk. I will not deal with them ever again, they just don't back up what they say with anything. As far as The Mustang Shop goes when I called them to get parts, their service was great. No B.S. got what I wanted and the parts came when they told me they would. WMS = crap. period.

That would be correct, so I'm now using AutoThrill and Matt to fix my COBRA. We're about a month from having it running and Jesse has been great to deal with. It should put about 450 ish to the ground and I'll be happy.

I just made 538rwhp on my MD250 with a '01 2v while maintaining perfect drivability if that counts...(about 605rw on a dynojet)
Drivability is a function of the tune, install, and engineering of the engine combination. Do ALL of your homework before you buy parts.

I'm not cheap or fast (3-4 weeks out), but i can properly and safely tune anything you bring me within limitations of the Ford ecm.

From what some of my customers further east have told me, Ed H does a great tune.

Hey Matt! Good to see you on the board! I really like my brakes by the way! I still haven't got my SFCs put in but I will soon.

Matt, if you could promise to give me a rock solid tune like i have now. But with the power I should be making I would be the biggest walking bilboard you ever seen.

How large is this billboard going to be? If you walk around with a 4'8' sign on you at all times, i'll tune it for free

Seriously- I can only tune a properly configured engine/power adder combo that is assembled correctly.
You bring me a perfect combo, i'll get you a perfect tune.
If you want me to tune your car, contact me before you buy all of your parts and start assembling.
I love a challenge. Surprise me
Matt

Matt, here is the list of parts I have already, and some to come really soon.

Fully forged and balenced rotating assembly, 19cc dish pistons
Modular Powerhouse Stage 2.5 heads
MPH custom blower cams
Bullitt intake, not ported yet( I want to get it Extrude Honed and port matched)
8-rib pulley set up
2.8 or 3 inch pulley (Paxton has a 3.75 on there now)
Big custom Intercooler
Vortech Mini race bypass

Tim @ MPH has made over 700 RWHP on a similar set up and has made the car completely streetable, with no idleing problems or surging with thier tune. That is what I am looking for. If you could give me that I would advertise for you, not 4' sign but I would.

Should be a potent combo... What power adder are you using??

I shoulda been a little clearer on what i meant by "perfect combo".. I'm concerned with sensor location, no vacuum/exhaust leaks, proper plugs/gap, no wiring issues/missing grounds, a GOOD maf (sct2400/2800), correct fuel system (upgraded pumps and tank/dual fpdm/wiring upgrade etc), and a good inlet to the blower that doesent reverse airflow back across the maf via the bypass valve. Thats all i can think of for now..
Morning/no coffee/no thinky..

I am using a Novi 2000 that will see an 8-rib and 2.8 or 3" pulley.
