Is anyone still using cruise control with an aftermarket steering wheel? How did you do it?

Cool yea let me know how it goes! I was wondering if it might be possible to hook up the cruise control to one of those empty switch panels that goes in the ash tray. I am sort of a rookie when it comes to customizing like this though. If you have pictures when its done that would be awesome.

Anyone else pulled this off?

The wires from the buttons are activated through the copper disc behind the wheel.I'm just going to wire them directly and move the buttons to the dash and keep it factory appearing.Subtle, functional, and cool.

Back again...

I've been trying to locate the wires for cruise control but no luck. I have a Grant steering wheel on there so the wires aren't just sitting in the steering column. Does anyone know where they come from?

There is like a 3 wire grey colored connector under the column cover IIRC. This harness goes to the slipring with the 3 rings.

The CC buttons work by sending a resistance signal back to the CC module (same idea as one wire power locks, if you're familiar with those).
