I just found this pic i made of exactly how i did them, just thought i'd post it up if anyone wanted to see.

First you cut the muffler in half on the line going across the middle. That's a hit and miss cut because you can't cut too much or you screw up that angled plate and outlet pipe in the middle. Once you have the back chamber cut off, you cut the outter case flush with those diagonal divider plates and then weld the seams all around it so that the only exit is that center tube. Then weld an outlet or turndown onto that and you're done.

If you look at a cross section of Flowmaster's 1 chambers, the inside plate is the same thing as that one chamber that you're left with. The only difference is that this is probably a tad smaller in the end and maybe louder. Also i believe Pypes have a one chamber that's very similar to this.

Anyways, just FYI. Here's a clip of how they sound:

You buying? They're $80 each.

Why not just do something different? I have access to a welder and i can weld, i had the mufflers so why not? Nobody else has these mufflers and my car sounds different than everyones...that's worth the effort to me.

Hard to tell in the video, but to me it sounds quieter than my brothers 86, with a prochamber and I believe 2 chambers! Its probably just the video making it seem that way, as we all know videos dont do cars justice!

Actually with the tail pipes it's pretty quiet at idle, but the more RPM it gets the more it screams. It's not as loud as Bullets but IMO sounds 100x better.

I have put a few set of them on mustang around here. They don't sound to bad. Damn didn't know they cost more than the 2 cambers.
