Remote doors?

I was thinking about removeing my door handels (since my drivers side was ripped off) and installing a remote lock on it, Is this expensive to do if i do it myself?

It's not expensive for the kit at all. Look for Spal I think the company is they have the best kits. Also, you want to have this installed professionally and have a manual back cable for emergency and maybe an emergency 9 volt switch hidden if you lose the remotes. The rest is just welding plates over the handles where they were cut and painting. My friend had his convertible handles shaved and had a emergency 9 volt switch under the cowl which if you pressed on the cowl in the right spot the door would pop open.

lmao, yeah it would suck... I looked it up, said 45 for the module and 95 for the remotes, not too bad

And they wont let you race the car anywhere after you do that, something else to think about.

I was thinking about shaved door handles and locks, but I never thought of that.

If the battery died then I figured I could go in through the hatch.
