This last weekend via the Hertz location at the Boston Logan airport. I was duly impressed. If my car came stock with this much go, I'd be deep in the 11s with my mods . . . only thing that sucks is that the traction control disable button has been . . . disabled. Regardless, a lil' brake stand and this thing came out of the hole with no more than a screech and I was off and running - Ford has dramatically improved this feature on the new cars in comparison to my 2k3 and it worked EXTREMELY well!

And let me assure you, you can't exit or enter this vehicle without answering questions about it. Within minutes of being behind the wheel of it, I had people rolling down their windows shouting at me. Nobody could believe it was a rental, and I talked to LOTS of people over the weekend.

I give this package a solid TWO THUMBS UP! Well spent $200 / day!

take your sct tuner and put the stock tune back on your car, then take it to the shelby to disable the tcs

$200 a day??? Well, I guess that's cheaper than the $2000 a day it costs for a Ferrari Modena. Anyway, in addition to the FRPG Power Pack (which is 25hp) and the different styling/paint, are there any other differences/upgrades between the GT-H and the GT?

According to Ford Racing, it has the power pack, the handling pack, race rear brake pads, performance x-pipe and 3.55 gears (auto).

Sweet. I just reserved one out of John Wayne for the week around the 4th of July. I can't wait. Only problems is the 525 mile limit.

Anyone know how to shut off to odometer? Ferris?

Oh yeah, for me the weekly rate is about $750 but it come up over $900 when you toss in the fees and taxes. I usually get a steep discount through my company and I rent a lot but I don't know if that helped. I also have a one-day free coupon that brought the total with the fees back down to $750. Not cheap but considering I'll be staying with friends, it won't be that expensive of a vacation.

I'll take pictures.

a hypothetical situation:

get an Xcal2 and reset the gear ratio or tire size so the odometer will be off.

just remember that none of us would do that, as it would be illegal.
