hey,

I just got done replacing my fuel pump and filter and now my car wont start! it turns over, but wont start. I also checked my fuel lines to see if there was any fuel and nothing came out. The pump does'nt prime at all. and it was starting fine with the old pump. i checked the inertia switch and it seems fine. I also read tons of posts about fuel pump problems but none of them helped me really i didnt really understand where everything they were talking about was. Any ideas on how i can get some fuel pumped through my lines?

check your fule pump relay, but im guessing the wire on the pump came off, might have to pull the tank and check it.

also, ck your harness connector at the tank...quite often they get all dirtied up and could cause loss of continuity...

I'm guessing your "new" pump is bad

If it worked before and you are smart enough to disassemble and reassemble properly ... ker-plunk ... it's shat

If one has power at the N.O. terminal on the FP relay socket with the key on (make sure pump is priming), then I would check the pump connection at the rear. Then if good, that leaves the pump.

Good luck.
