Does anyone know of a source for replacement sun visors for my 01 vert?
I could get them reskinned at the upholstery shop but figured it might be easier to just replace them. The only ones I could find were for older models so far.

I have the same problem and I have never seen any for sale either. I was thinking of asking my wife to try and recover them... Did you get a quote from the upholstery shop?

Not yet but I have a good shop nearby so I guess I will have to take them over there and ask them.
I thought about making some carbon fiber ones but don't have much free time right now

junkyard? That's all I can think if you can't find new ones from a dealer or a factory supplier.

I was thinking about asking the upholstery shop about recovering them with leather to match the seats. Should last a lot longer than the cloth.

You should just get a replacement sun visor from a wholesale company
like LRS it's pretty easy.

The only ones I see on LMR are for 83-93 stangs.

Got an estimate yesterday from the upholstery shop to recover my visors:
$50 each to recover them with the original fabric
$90 each to recover them with leather that matches the seats

After looking at the visors again I think I will just get the leather and recover them myself. Doesn't look too difficult.

Well, I found an upholstery shop to recover them for a reasonable price ($80 for both of them). He had a hard time keeping the stitches straight but other than that I am very happy with them. Here are the before and after pics. What do you guys think of them with the vinyl cover?

If I had spent that much i would have made him redo the stitching but at $80 for the pair I figured I couldn't complain too much. Still looks better than the torn and faded original ones.

That's cheap bro. Leather sun visors. Sounds great to me.... mine look crappy too from 7 years of exposure.

I've seen some decent looking ones on Ebay. I need to replace my passenger side one, the fabric is starting to pull away from the visor. In my case though, it might be easier to fix it myself somehow.
