Building a motor from a boss block 302 and having it bored and stroked to a 360. I was thinking about a holley 650 carb for it. I'm new to carb'd motors but does that sound about right?

If you are building a 360 in an 8.2 block, i am guessing that it is not a mild daily driver. A 650 would be good for a mild motor, but if it is a serious motor a 650 is small. There are a lot of things that need to be considered when sizing a carb. I would talk to a good carb builder for the right one.

As a general rule of thumb, it takes approximately 1.5cfm to make 1hp. If you're looking to make more than 430fwhp, a 650 will be on the small side. Heck, I have a 650 pumper on my 302.

700 would be a better match in a double pumper, 750 for a vacuum secondary.
