RPM's

This may be a simple problem (I hope so). My RPM's stick when I'm driving sometimes. I mean I can take of fast and really rev up and my RPM's stick lower then it is suppose to. When I tap the gauge it works normal for a while. Then it does it again. Any info would help. Thanks

Sounds like it's time to replace the instrument cluster.
