Is this a possibility? My car is in the shop for a couple of things, and my mechanic said that I might be running a bit rich due to my lack of cats. Is this true? I haven't gotten my tuner yet, so I just bolted on the midpipe and have been driving it since.

It's probally not running too rich man, just the cats are not there to get rid of that extra fuel in the exhaust. He probally smelled that and thought that it was rich. Even if it was a little rich, its no big deal. You just don't want to be running too lean...that's when you will have problems.

You might need to tune it. That is what one guy told me if I was going to install the o/r X.

It is running slightly rich because if your CEL is on then it is the detecting a lack of fuel because the cats are gone, itll only hurt your MPG's alittle but I drove for probably 6 months before I bought my tuner.

Or you can just buy some MIL's and install them and itll run fine with a little more top end power...
