I know that most OEM seats work in foxbody's, but has anyone tried the new style S197's? I have a 90 GT that is in need of some new seats. I don't have the dimensions, but it looks like I could use my seat brackets.

I'm pretty sure Ford has maintained the same seat mounting pattern for quite some time. Have the seller measure the bolt pattern on the seats themselves. Brackets probably won't work, but you can switch yours on.

The one thing you may have to consider is the head rests. 197's have allot more head room then the FOX...

Like said above have the seller take measurements diagonally from hole to hole. Should tell you how far off they are. I'm sure you could use your fox brackets and fab up adapters.

The 05 seats need major modification. You will have to make some really trick brackets. The base is totally different. I had a pair, and I sold them to a guy, because I didn't want to mess with it.

Now...I haven't seen 07-08 seats, but you might be able to use those, because I know they have changed the bottom frames on them.

Basically the 05's just aren't a basic easy to modify seat like the 79-04's are.

id personally just keep shopping for anything up to 2004, as they bolt right in and "fit the car" By that I mean that they are small enough to not look out of place....the S197's seem to look huge, but i dunno...my opinion.

even sn95 rears fit great in a fox...

Back From The Dead!!

I know this thread is old, but it doesn't seem to have ever been figured out. I have been researching this question for about two hours and can't come up with an answer. Anyone have any ideas or pictures?
