Saleen is planning on a two day event around the Fun Ford Weekend at California Speedway Oct 20 - 21. Here is the press release from Saleen.

Cars & Coffee Featured Marque

On Saturday, October 20, 2007, Saleen will be the featured marque at the weekly Cars & Coffee event held at Ford's Premiere Auto Group facility in Irvine, California. An eclectic array of cars, new and old, Cars & Coffee is a popular meeting place for Southern California car enthusiasts. Attendees are asked to meet the Saleen staff promptly at 7 a.m. as the featured marque fills up quick.

Road Rally to California Speedway in Fontana, California
After the Cars & Coffee car show, Saleen will host a road rally leaving at 9 a.m. to California Speedway in Fontana where the 5th Annual Pacific Fun Ford Weekend Nationals will be taking place. This is the venue where the Saleen SpeedLab is currently showcasing their capabilities, along with JDM Engineering, by competing in the RPM Outlet Ultra Stang, Saleen SpeedLab Street Stang and the JDM Tough Truck Classes. Fun Ford Weekend will also feature a car show exclusive to Saleen owners and enthusiasts. Much like the car shows Saleen has hosted in the past, the Fun Ford Weekend car show will feature Best in Class awards for Saleen vehicles. Fun Ford Weekend will also offer Saleen owners an opportunity to take their own cars on the drag strip. Car Show Registration
Gate Opens - 8 a.m.
Registration - 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Show Judging - 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Award Presentation - 4:00 p.m.

Entry Fees are $35 for 1 day (car & driver), or $45 for 2 days (car & driver).
Show participants will receive a special plaque and goody bag!
All vehicle entries must be Ford Motor Company with Ford Power

The Saleen Club of America will be represented at the show and races as well. We are looking for a big turnout of Saleens for both the car show and drag racing.

The Cars & Coffee event in Irvine followed by the cruise to Fontana should be a good event. We need to get lots of Saleens lined up for this event.

Will you be getting any details on the pre registration? The funfordevents website says you enter the day of the show. It sounds like Saleen wants to do a
show within the UPR show just for Saleens? Sounds like fun!

Saleen show,

saleen will be showcasing what we have done this year with jdm and speedlab within the drag race scene. we will be getting very aggressive into drag racing and want all of you to join the fun and come out and see what we can do. the fontana event is a test event to see how things go. I am assuming it will go very well and in 2008 we will have mini car shows at all the ffw events with friday cruises, events and saturday and sunday shows while we race. we will get to know all saleen owners which saleen has been lacking for years. 10 mini shows compared to one annual. I would think that the saleen fans would want more.

I just wanted to let you know that we are sweetening the deal again!

For those of you bringing your car to the show we will be having a "Best Saleen" award. We will be looking for a couple different things, both modifications, and also preservation.

If your car is picked as the best Saleen, you will not only win a trophy, but we will display your car at the Saleen Store in Irvine for 1 month! While your car is being displayed there, we will give you a new Saleen company car to drive until your car is returned to you!
