Does anyone else get pissed off at your seatbelt? I swear every time i get in my car i have to adjust, un-twist and feed the seat belt back in the slot to get it to retract...youd think after 33 years ford could design a better seat belt...

they suck - and you'd think as this is a safety device, that it would be engineered to work properly and last a long time...
I wonder, if I ever get in an accident, whether the air bags will really work..?

At least im not the only one. Fuggin thing, if its not twisted up its comin out of the holder on the headrest. Most annoying seatbelts ever.

I personally rarely have problems with it anymore, but when I let a family member or the gf drive the car--it's a definite that the belt is going to be hanging and be tangled in the guide.

mines always getting fugged up somehow, either twisting itself when i pull it out, or not retracting when i get out of the car. now it just hangs there and i push it behind the seat as i get out of the car.

94-04 seat belts suck the fat one. i wish ford had a upgraded retraction mechanism that was stronger so it literally sucks the belt back in at a fast pace like most other cars out there.

Every Mustang Ive ever owned has had crappy seatbelts I usually toss it on the seat or behind the seat when I get out. I hate when my dad drives the car cause he almost always closes it in the door

I hate my seatbelt! Damn thing gets twisted, I have to help it retract, it locks up randomly ... but they do save lives so I deal with it. POS design.

I've adjusted the way I buckle up to avoid the belt twisting or jamming up. It's worked pretty good for me for a while. Now, passengers just go mentally retarted when they get in my car. They will pull too fast or in the wrong way, jam it up, then wedge it in so tight that they are stuck there for 20 minutes trying to fix it. I found that if the seat is far enough forward and the belt is in the useless hoop on the side of the seat, they won't jam up. Unfortunately for me, I have to have my seat in the far back position while driving, since the seat rubs against the door and will squeak a TON if it's forward at all.

There's actually a TSB on the seatbelts, where they will either install a whole new seatbelt with this part, or they will just add it to your existing belt. It's just a thick teflon strip wrapped around the pivoting part where the belt slides over. I'll take a picture of it, because my mom's 04 has it, but my 01 and 02 didn't. It really makes a difference!

Funny because I just had this problem tonight. It always seems to happen the second I forget about it. Almost makes me want a harness.
