I'll be down for a long cruise if I don't have to work that Saturday.

I will post a route this weekend once we get a more accurate head count. Expect a 3-5 hour cruise with quite a few stops for pictures and possible food. Bring an empty gas card.

Alright, for the long cruise;

Meet at King Charley's in Snohomish right off of hwy 9 next to hwy2 at 12PM,
Hwy2 to Leavenworth,
Google Map says 94.4 miles and 1hr 58min.
Leavenworth to Hwy 97 south,
Hwy 97 to 970 west,
970 to I 90 west... At this point we will determine if dinner will be Triple X or Kidd Valley, depending on time...

There are tons of places to stop for pictures, and plenty of places to fuel up. If some of the old schoolers remember, this was the same trip we did for pony trails a few years back.

OR,

We start at the same place, and you just follow me around some back side roads finishing off whatever tread you have left, stopping here and there for pictures and stories of how the car needs more tire or suspension. I can be extremely spontaneous and can eat up an entire day with some fun back roads... ya just gotta follow/keep up It all comes down to how big the group is. The last cruise we had that was spontaneous, we had an absolute blast.

I think the 97 to 90 route sounds like fun.

Corey,
I just came across HWY 2 from Leavenworth about a week ago and there is massive road construction going both ways. They had the grooved pavement and laying some new asphalt. If anyone could give us an update of the pass that would be great. If it is still as bad I may have to opt out.

Good point. Considering there is major road construction happening, I can change the route, no worries. I will try to have a new route by end of day today. Thanks for the heads up

New Route

New Route up for vote:

King Charley's off of Hwy 9 and Hwy 2,
North on Hwy 9 to Arlington,
East on 530 through Darington (stop in Darington to stretch legs and take pics),
Continue Northeast on 530 to Hwy 20,
West on Hwy 20 to Sedro Woolley,
South on Hwy 9 to Arlington...

If people are up for it and already headed south, we might have time to stop by Kidd Valley. From there, if you are still feeling feisty, come chase me along the Alaskan Way Viaduct to Alki Beach for some more talking and pictures.

Bring your energy drinks and get lots of sleep the night before.

I could do that as well, but usually both crowds are in both forums. Does this mean you are coming as well
