I have to agree. The KarKraft kit looks like a better way to go than with the original CDC kit. The KarKraft kit is all Ford, including using the Mach 1 factory hood. The CDC kit uses your original GT hood, but requires the addition of that "tacked-on looking" applique.

OK, so I have an 03 GT with the GT hood scoop. Were i to buy this shaker hood scoop unit from the above listed site, would I have to cut into the hood at all?

the one from www.classicdesignconcepts.com you have to cut the stock hood

the one from www.karkraft.com (above) you have to purchase a mach 1 hood and do not use the stock GT hood.

do you still use your upper intake plenum w/ the mach1 intake, how does this work, im alittle unclear about it, does the shaker sit on top of the plenum and throttle body? and i see that the gt in that picture still has the stock cold air pipe, do you still need this or does the mach1 intake replace it.
thanks
