I have a 65 coupe and I like how the shelbys have the open grille with the horse and stripes smaller and not centered (its on the drivers side) . Are there special grilles you have to buy or do people just take out the horse and corral in their existing grilles? Thanks!

To go from this:

to this:

All you need to buy is the 66 center cap c6zz-8221-a which costs about $20-22 new or less than that for a good used one and then just the running horse emblem.

On my first Mustang, I took a used running horse side emblem and used wires behind the front grill to secure it.

In 65, that's all Shelby Did, take a fender emblem, remove all the grille stuff, and put it on the driver's side. Simple!

The pony is easy.....side emblem and 3 of those press on one way rectangular washers. I used 3 large black rubber washer/grommets thingys and a reg metal washer to keep the press ons from pulling through the honeycomb grill
