they aren't nuts? no threads? Can't imagine what bushings would be doing there. There aren't any involved

THanks for the help. Found it this morning. Glad I dont have to take it apart again. The steeda sport shifter is pretty good. Little tight but so much different than stock its unbelievable.

I have steeda tri-x for more then 2 years . I was very tight and after using it for a while it gets softer cause the springs gets loose and you get used to it

wow that could be taken so many different ways.............

check your base to tranny bolts. i didnt think to put lock washers because i thought the rubber gasket would push up on the unit keeping the bolts from working loose, i was wrong. one day i couldnt find any gear, and fearing the worst, i went to do a fluid change as last resort to buying the T56 Swap, and upon pulling off the shifter boot, noticed all 4 bolts are just chillin out of their holes, just laying there sideways looking like "waz up homie, wez just chillin". grabbed some lock washers and tightened them summabitches in there and shifting is just like it was when i first got my TriAx.

as for bushings go, i dont see the reason of putting the busing between the nut and the unit. usually busings would go between the unit and the leverage mechanism to make it feel softer. btw i wouldnt use bushings there anyways, itll take away from the feel and itll be like the sloppy stock shifter again.
