it depends on the dealer who is doing the service. Some will refuse warranty, some have no idea, and some don't care.
If you have a trans problem I would just toss the factory shifter back in. If not no biggy. It's like getting warrany work done with aftermarket wheels in my opinion.
Thanks for the info. I don't expect any trans problems within the warranty period, but I guess you never know... I went ahead and installed the Hurst billet yesterday and have noticed a great improvement over stock.
I would think that unless the dealership found that the shifter was installed wrong and directly resulted in the problem I would think you would be ok. But like evryone else said the shifter only takes a second to change out so I would put it back to stock if I was having warranty work done on the driveline.
its a catch 22. the answer is no... unless you need tranny work done. so if your having issues with your clutch, tranny noise, or shift vibration.. put your old shifter back on. otherwise they will never know the difference with the stock boot and knob.
