I love my Tri-ax. The shifter itself is not noisy but it since you remove the factory isolater out of there some of the tranny, engine, and road noise comes through.

I have a Tri-Ax also. You can barely notice the noise.. trust me, you will not regret it. And now that I have my new exhaust... the noise seems to just.. went away

i have the pro 5.0 and like it. i can tell the noise did come up a little, but it's not loud and you really don't notice it unless you specifically listening for it.

I still don't get it, I have Pro 5.0 which removes the isolator and it is not excessively noisy, why do Tri-Ax owners assume it should be that way?

I would have to say the tri-ax. I drove a 95 gt with a pro 5.0 and the noise that comes from the transmission is just as loud. I don't see why it matters. If you want a really really short throw then get the pro 5.0. If you want a shorter shift but don't want to feel like you have to shift the car on the very top of the trans. the get the tri ax. They are both good shifters it is all in what you like.

I don't know what the big deal is re: tri ax noise. You'll barely notice it and the real pay off is the shifting. I went through the same thing before I got mine, wish I had put it on sooner. Get the tri ax you won't regret it...

Comparitively speaking, people who whine about the Pro 5.0/Tri-ax shifter noise are just a bit whinier than said shifters, IMHO.

I agree with tangerine, the 5.0 has the shorter shift vs. the Tri-ax but I like that my Tri-Ax is still comfortable. My Tri-Ax was perfect for now and the noise is negligible. sweeeettttt!

Just make sure you cut the rubber isolator to fit and replace it...you won't have any noise. Either will be fine.
Tri-ax was my choice. I drove a car with the 5.0 and I didn't like it as much as the Tri-ax

I guess its just my thinking that if your going to have a short shifter, get a short shifter... don't *****foot around. Thats the same mentality that led me to get a turbo instead of juice or blowers...

I love the UPR Blu Thunder in my '03 GT and I loved the Tri-Ax in my '88 GT

If your deciding between a Tri-Ax and Pro 5.0.. i say go with the Tri-Ax

You can't really go wrong either way. I have the Pro 5.0 and love it.
