Save yourself $35 and get the UPR Blue Thunder. It is the same thing as the Tri-AX. I have had mine for about 6 weeks and it is awsome. The noise is not excessive. You only really notice it when the radio is off.
My Blu Thunder will be here tomorrow and I'm already to install it. One ?.
After the shifter is in, are there any aftermarket boots that would leave the shifter handle visible? I like the aluminum look and think it would be sharp to have a boot that fit flush with the bottem of the shifter.
Well it only took about 45 min and it's in. The hardest part was getting the old one to let go. I couldn't get a screwdriver in there to pry it up so I had to thread one of the old bolts in a few turns and yank on it with a pair of Robo-grips. The thing looked beefy and fast just setting on my kitchen counter.
Got it all in and took it for a spin......there's no way you can miss third.
Much shorter throws and even though it has no horsepower or torque advantages it should be good for a 1/10th at the track because of the quickness and closeness of the shifts.
Great part!!!!!!!
Now if I could just find a boot that would leave the shifter handle exposed.
Someone throw me an idea
