Does everyone's shifter boot look all bunched up with a short throw shifter. Is there any easy ways to make it look better.

Thats just what happens when you switch to the short shifter, I don't know anyway of fixing it.

Mine doesn't look too bad to me. Seems to have bunched up in the right way, you can tell theres a bit too much boot, but looks OK.

It would be nice to find an aftermarket boot that would show off the the upper part of the short throw shifter. I've got the Blu Thunder so the top is nice brushed aluminum with the holes cut out.
If anyone knows where you can get one please PM me!1!

Hell, take it to an automotive upolstery shop and have 'em make one. I wouldn't think that would be too expensive.

I'm pretty sure you can still buy the Hurst boot at most automotive parts stores - our Advanced Auto store has them. It looks like one you find in a late 60s or early 70s car with 'four on the floor'. Just a simple rubber boot with square chrome frame and a rectangle opening for the shifter. Roush sells the own shifter and boot that shows half the shifter, but, if I remember correctly, it was expensive.

My Tri Ax is on the lowest setting I can have it at and you can tell its a little bunched, but its not awful looking IMO. I gotta find a new shift knob though, I like the stock one, but I would like to find something with some red in it that would kinda match the car. Any ideas ... sorry didnt mean to hijack the thread lol
