Just came back from the track and after missing 3rd gear on two runs I've decided to buy a new short throw shifter. I'm looking for opinions on who makes a good product. Thanks in advance.

I have used the hurst, B&M ripper, and the Pro 5.0. I like the feel of the hurst the best but, the Pro 5.0 to me, is the most solid of the three. I didn't care much for the ripper it felt kinda "sloshy".

I've had both the Tri-ax and Pro 5.0...though both are great...go with the Pro 5.0...you can't beat the solid feel and "straight" design...

Another vote for Pro5.0

I'm always suggesting the Kona too, which is a Pro5.0 with a replica of the Steeda Tri-Ax handle on it, only made out of forged steel. Great peice, and terrific price:

Pro 5.0, Tri-Ax blah blah blah.

I run Tri-Axes in both my cars and IMO are the best aftermarket shifter.

Ever shifted or driven a car with a Pro 5.0?

They are both nice shifters no doubt...but I've had both and personally prefer the 5.0...maybe that is why I bought a 5.0L

Yes, I have shifted with a Pro 5.0 and feel the Tri-Ax has a much smoother feel to it. If you like that "notchy" type of feeling, then you like Pro 5.0 but for smoothness, I say Tri-Ax all the way.

This question is asked all the time and gets the same answers all the time, hence my blah blah blah.

It seems that the Steeda Tri-ax and the Pro-5.0 are the way to go. I have had on the old T5, stock, I think MAC but there is no brand name written on it as I can recall, and now a Hurst that came with the TKO.

I would say the one that I was told was MAC was probally worse than stock, the shifts were shorter but unrefined, the shifter was too short.
