Should I get an 07 Hayabusa?

MSRP on the '07 Busa is $11,149.00 on the website, but like $11,399.00 at the dealership. I went up there, kinda wanting to get it today...but walked out. The Busa is just SO much more comfortable than a GSX600R or a GSX750R...and I do a lot of long distance highway travelling, so I want comfort. They wanted like $9,199 for the 600 and $10,199 for the 750. I figure that if I get a Hayabusa, I won't need to upgrade for years to come, so I'll keep it.

They said they could get it down to $199/mo on the payment with an ~$4,000 balloon at the end. I'd be trading my Ninja 250R up, which will hurt me bad, but it'll give me a little bit. TTL + extended warranties is around $1,300 and the freight & prep charge is like $484 I think he said. After it all levels out I think I'll only get like $1,500 for the Ninja, for which I still have a $4,8xx balance on my loan. It's going to hurt really bad.

What do you guys think I should do?

Well that first reply negates mine but i think they're hideous and way too heavy.

get the ZX14R, far superior bike, most powerful and fastest bike ever built, and its lighter... and sexier... dubbed the "busa killer" its got a 190hp powerplant.

If your financially sound and can afford about 350 per month for the bike + 150ish a month for insurance, then go for it .

And no, im not kidding on the price...if you got NAILED on the interest last time, you will this time too. ANother problem is that I have good credit and they would only loan me 5,000 through suzuki...so that 4000 baloon is going to go up quite abit more for you.
So my figures are estimated via an outside lender and full coverage insurance that goes with it. And it may actually cost more than that...please check everything out.

See, my dad cosigned and it allowed us to qualify for teir "A" (re best) intrest through suzuki (9.9%).

Also, my BIKE costed be $9400 and then after everything else it came to 10,500 out the door....and I pay 222 per month I believe. And since I went through suzuki, they let me get liability insurance which is $76 per month with my perfect driving record.

I think you should go through everything and see exactly how much your going to spend.

The $5,000 they gave you, I believe, is what they call a "gift call" or something to that effect. Basicly, if you have limited credit, like I did, they will extend you $5,000 to see how you can do. I have amazing credit as well.

Ok, lets specify some things here.

Zx-14 is an AMAZING 4 POUNDS lighter DRY...and 2.5#s less WET with a full tank of gas and all fluids.

ZX-14 makes about 13RWHP more than the busa on adverage.

ZX-14 is 2 tenths and 3.4MPH faster in the 1/4 than the busa (PRO rider on the same day)

ZX-14 is slower on adverage through the twisties than the busa from the tests I have seen

3 ZX-14s were at the Texas mile, and ALL lost to the slowest busa by 6MPH. The slowest busa had whats called a TRE...it just makes the bike think its in 5th gear all the time. It adds timing via the 5th gear map, but the added fuel on the 5th gear map evens any power change out...and its accepted that it make the bike slower in the 1/4.

ZX-14s ALL= 179-180
TRE BUSA = 186 (which is right at the stock governed limit anyways...so the TRE was useless anyhow)
Other lightly modded busas were running above that...

SO what this tells me...
Busa= better handling, better aerodynamics, and a few hundered cheaper.
ZX-14= Better 1/4 time and trap, more lowend grunt, 2.5#s lighter wet

Just talked to a dealership in Arlington and they said that they have an 06 in stock, and they want $10,400 for it but could probably get me out the door for around $11,200. Still seems kind of steep for an 06.

^Thats the best I could do anywhere else...they said that for 10,500 out the door they would make $300 on it. And today the same place told me that that was below cost, and actually called the place I bought it from to see if thats what they wanted for it lol.

don't take this wrong, but sounds like financially it would be suicide. you paid too much for your ninja and still owe way too much... also that the busa will be close to 13000 by the time they tack on all the assembly, freight, tax and title. If you should decide to get it don't bother with extended warranty or service plans... They are a waste of money...Pesonally I don't like the Busa, but for long rides they are super comfortable... I would suggest you look for a low mile used one... busas haven't really changed for several years and people tend not to rag the like they would a gixxer...I don't know if u mentioned ur skill level, but a jump from a 250 to 1300 is a huge one. For that mattter 750 to 1300 is a big one unless you have some years under your belt.... And whatever decision u make WEAR GEAR..... almost forgot... depending on ur age expect to pay about 1200 a year for full coverage if ur older and have a great history or about 5000 a year for full coverage if ur younger and have a few tickets. This is why the companies have their own financing. The do it a credit card and rape u on intrest, but you don't have to have insurance....

LOL he told us the same thing "we only have one left" when I bought mine .Probably a good way to move the bikes though.

The Ninja was $4,000 out the door + warranties, gear (jacket, helmet, gloves), theft protection. It came out to $5,149.

$10,800 out the door doesn't seem bad at all for an 06 Busa.

I don't plan on getting an extended warranty...they seem like a rip-off anyways.

Yea, brand new. 0 miles...maybe .1 from them pulling it out a few times. The odomter read 0 and the trip read 0.1 I think.
