if you really want a busa go to a place called honda east in ohio ill be you get one for somewhere around 9gs out the door. right them an email and ask for the price of the bike and all their msrps are cut by about 2grand and thats ur out the door price. for my bike i paid 7900 out the door and the msrp on the bike was 8900.

thats quite a jump though from a 250 to a busa lol. I might be a little biased but i say get a 636 its a great quick bike and you can actually keep up with some of the busas from a stop if you know what ur doing.

GSX1300R Hayabusa ('05) 10/05 10.02 @ 143.7
60-80 3.13 80-100 3.31 n/a

ZX-6R ('05) 4/05 10.38 @ 135.6 60-80 3.5 80-100 3.51

those numbers are from sportrider.com not bad for a lil 636 against an almighty 1300

I don't think I want to own another Kawasaki. I LOVE the way the GSXRs look, as well as the Busa.

i say no. As much as i love the busa, thats alot of money to be upside-down in a bike, and if you go through suzuki and only carry liability and drop it a week from now, youre paying for a $15k loan on a bike worth way way less than that.

You going from a 250 to a Busa? Seems like a BIG jump to me.

How long have you been riding?

Without even reading the thread or any replies in it, my answer to the posted question is YES, get the busa. If you can afford it don't even think about another bike.

I've been riding for 8 months. I've decided against the Busa for now. I applied for an $11,000 loan from my credit union, and they returned saying that I could have a 6.39% interest rate on the loan if I can get a co-signer. My mom disagreed to co-sign on the $11,000, but agreed to co-sign on the loan for $4,700 at 6.74% for refinancing my bike. I am currently paying 17.989% interest, so that'll be a drop of 11.249%...that's a HUGE difference. Hopefull I will save a few grand in the long run

But yeah, come spring, summer, or fall, my "limited credit history" will have probably been lifted and I will be able to get an $11,000 loan with no prob. I currently have a score of 720, and I plan to keep that up having the steady income that I do. I guess that's another good reason not to get the Busa yet...I don't wanna get myself into a hole I can't get out of.

P.S. Is it just my computer or is this new skin causing the quick-reply box to freeze every few words?

get a ninja trust me you will probably like them more than the gixxers. Most of the guys i know that use to own gixxers went to a kawasaki and love them. Get a 636 and own all the 600s and 750s. Seriously I wouldnt really consider a liter bike or anything larger because hahahaha we told cody not too and he already wrecked it at like 1mph. (no offense cody)
