Had mine welded in 4 months ago, I swear they sound better every day.

My 2000GT coupe has Flowmaster 2 Chambers. Sounds awesome..
My Dad put a Mac 3" kit on his 2000GT Vert and it sounds different but it sounds good too. Louder and more raspy.. Recently put on LT headers and a Cat H pipe and it sounds even louder...Its awesome..

I love my flow 2 chambers though!

I put Flow 3 chamber kit on my 99 F150 and it doesnt sound no where near as good as the 2 chambers!

Variety is fine but all the mufflers that I've heard don't even come close to the Flowmaster tone, especially at lower RPM's.
About the flows/Cobra R wheels thing.... wasn't the flows thing way back in the 80's with the 5.0s??? Around where I live, it's really rare to hear Flowmasters on a Mustang... hard to tell exactly what setup they are running but most Stangs I hear sound really raspy and high-pitched.

flows sound good if you only drive around at most 30 minutes at a time...try sitting in rush hour traffic for an hour with the change vibrating in your ash tray along with every loose part on the car, and the nonstop neverending drone giving headaches. Don't get me wrong, they sound great, but the sound isn't different enough from a straight through muffler (to me anyway) to deal with this crap every day.

I had my 2 chamber flows removed in favor of a dynomax style "turbo" muffer (My magnaflows).

The flowmasters sound like complete ASS with a BBK O/R X pipe.

yep, the only X pipe that sounds good with flowmasters is dr. gas x.

prochamber is the best tone imo but the two best combo's i've heard is dr gas and prochamber.

MAC catback + prochamber =
IMO this is the sickest combo for a modular.

I have dynomax super turbo's now and they just don't have the loudness of the flows/straights. I really want a prochamber but I would need to hear it in person to compare.

1. Sitting in traffic (at idle), mine are almost as quiet as stock.
2. You have an ashtray in your 03? It's a rare option, but I do see them available on ebay.
3. Change in the coin holder will rattle with any exhaust - it just a cheaply designed coin holder. (The only way to keep the coins quiet is to put em in your pocket or get the right combo of quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies so that they are in there tightly.
4. The only drone I hear is at 2200-2300, and it isn't that bad. (nonstop, neverending? )
What kind of Flows (1, 2 or 3 chamber) and midpipe do you have?

I am a Flowmaster fan also. I have a 2 chamber single inlet dual outlet on my '99 F150 with a 4.6. I put the 3 chamber Flows on my Mustang. I was going to put 2 chamber on it , but I didn't want to destroy my son's hearing when we are cruising with the top down. The 3 chamber Flows sound great.

Your car sounds pure sexy I love the sound of Borla pair that with an O/R H-pipe and some LT headers you will have the best sounding exhaust combination IMO.

The Flows and an O/R H are an incredible combination. They sound awesome, I have a Prochamber with my Flowmasters right now and it sounds great. Had the weld-ins before and the A/T now. It's a great sounding muffler but I have a set of Packs coming on Thursday
