With my work schedule and last weekends getaway, I still haven't had my louvers installed. Perhaps I will drive down to the Ford dealer tomorrow to see what they can do for me.

Update: It is pouring down rain today, so no trip to the dealer to stand out in the rain getting an estimate. Monday is now the date(hopefully).

DARKFIRE GT...

How'd you get the V6 pony grille on your GT?

I think the louvers would look better if they were a little bit more "closed." Also, it would be nice if they could find a way to make them look more like part of the body and eliminate the obvious "border" around the window.

Other than that, they truly are one of the best louvers out there.

A little more closed and they would cease to be functional. I also did a photochop of them without the boarder, and it didn't look right. They ended up looking too small. You would have to add another vent to the front to make them look right without a boarder, but there's no room. At that time, you might as well go completely custom. This isn't the original one, but here's one I did to show you. The border lines actually add to the effect. Without the border or an additional "vent", it doesn't look right. If you go back and look, even the originals had borders. The vents were just an insert, just like SHR creates. SHR just needs a larger border because of the lip for the window.

I agree on making them borderless, but easily see the point Dark is making that they appear too small. The SHR louvers have 5 louvers, the same as the originals, but where Ford placed the window on the S197, it's too far back to give the proper look. Adding a 6th louver at the front or just moving it up closer to the window takes care of that, but that will be body modification time I feel SHR did a fine job from the canvas Ford left them

Sorry, didn't see this one. Actually, the corral around the pony is from WebElectric. They stopped making it early last year because Ford said it was copyright infringement since their new Pony Package had the same thing (though the WE piece was available well before that). I've heard of several people using Pony Package inserts and cutting off the v6 fog bezels. But it's not a cheap piece. I've since switched to an Eleanor grill, but the pony corral sold quick.
