Both look great.

Is either of you concerned about the decreased effectiveness of the taillights?

That has been my worry. I have been rear ended twice in my life. I'm glad the stang has big bright lights.

I had blacked out taillights on my Cobra. They looked sweet but I was paranoid about getting rear ended. The lights I had blocked at least 60% of the light. I took them out.

Do the inside tail lights lights on the '05 light up when the brakes are applied?

It's good that you aren't having an issue with that. Mine were too dark and bright sun light and rain really affected the visibility.

yeah the visibility is not affected at all. at night even during the day the light still shows through great. it looks like nothing is on there at all over all it tones down the yellow, and looks great it think.

if you want one of these go to: mossmustang.com

No the break lights only light up the two outer bulbs.

Thanks.

That is the same as the SN95. I modified the wiring on the socket of the inside lights. Now all three bulbs light up when the brakes are applied. This helped with the visability of the smoked lenses I was using. It maybe possible to do this simple mod to the S197s.
