There is this little company that provide intercooled superchargers for 5.0s. There called ATI Pro-Charger maybe you have heard of them? Half their kits come with 2 cores some come with three cores. Heres the link http://www.procharger.com/FORD/ford_auto.shtml

Personal I have no idea why these superchargers are constantly overlooked by the stang community.

Well ... for this particular thread ................

The Procharger is not an apples to apples comparison

i think your wrong on this. maybe less heat then a roots type but i dont think a supercharger sitting right ontop of the block with instantanous boost is going to run cooler then a setup with a centrifugal which to my knowledge are more efficient provided by the bigger hp gains people see with them

The logic equating more efficiency to higher hp isn't correct. The twin screw and centri blowers have completely different boost/rpm characteristics that you aren't taking into account.

That's not true, a lot of people have them. Most pass them up becuase they're too expensive when compared to Vortech for a centri comparison.

the other thing to remember about the kenne-bells is that since they are large metal objects sitting on top of the engine, they can get extremely hot themselves, and that can also heat up the intake air.

anyone with a kb would be well advised to have a water or meth injection system.

just mho

@ 10psi my kenne bell makes 400ft/lbs by 1900rpm and is at 440ft/lb by 2500rpms and stays there until it starts to fall off at around 3800rpms. i think you'll be happy w/ the tq. i was also running 5psi before i got it tuned and it still felt pretty good. this is w/ 9-9.2 compression
