Whell, i finally gave up on the turbo idea, way too many hassles to get it to be emmissions legal.

I just won an auction on ebay for a Vortech supercharger, BUT its currently pullied for 18 psi.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...d=1,1&item=7988883257&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT

This is WAY to much for my engine, so, i was wondering what pully should i buy so that i can get ~10 psi out of it....there only listed in sizes on the vortech site, and where is the best place to get em?

Next, does vortech use your existing belt, or another one? because i have underdrive pullys.

You need to ditch the underdrive pulleys. You can use the same belt. The mondo blow off valve is a waste if your going for 10psi. The stock pulley which is good for 8-10psi is a 3.33.

The Vortech kit comes with a different accessory belt, crank pulley, and water pump pulley. The stock 6.87" crank pulley and 3.33" blower pulley will make around 7-8 psi with the stock inlet tubing.

I've seen 20+ psi with the stock 6.87 and 3.33 pullies in the past...

You really need to see what pullies it has on it before you decide what to do. Stock pullies are generally a great starting point.

3.33 will be stock.
It'll be interesting to see exactly what you got.
If you use that stuff, you'll be converting to a Fox TB setup, have to cut out for the power pipe, The alternator will be of no use, probably ditch the smog delete, (if you were in California, for sure...). You'll need a fuel pump, and some way to control the timing.
Doesn't sound like a bad price, though....

yeah, my idea was to sell much of the stuff i dont need, like the alt, and the mondo. I might switch my explorer setup for that cobra intake that came with the kit, because it flows a bit better, dont know tho, i could get some good money for that cobra intake i bet. Also, im gonna sell that TB. In the end, i bet ill make out like crazy.

Oh, and i will be using it with an elbow, not a fox tb setup.

let me pose a question. Knowing that my stock pullys will be a ****** to find in the garage,,,,,,and that the s/c is pullied for 18 psi.......could i run it, and see what it makes for boost?

Also another question, could i set that mondo for say 10 psi, and technically wouldent it just bypass anything over that, meaning boost will come in sooner, then level off as the bypass kicks in? sorta like a turbo?

Your other pullies don't matter. You'll HAVE to change the crank pulley, as it's a one piece unit. The blower is on one belt, and the accesories on the other.....

Yeah, with hyper pistons and no timing control or fuel mods, I wouldn't either. It only takes one time to break the pistons.

Do the set-up right and enjoy boost for awhile until you try and exp't with the wrong set-up.

Get some pullies on ebay and sell the UD's.
Get a 3.33 and boost a small amount until you see if the motor can take it until you boost at higher levels. Plus get it tuned properly before boosting it @ WOT or you will be hating life and your car.
