While I appreciate your find of a rare T-Top Coupe....it has a dreaded case of 80's dash. heh...which wouldn't be bad once you got rid of the wood grain....and the brown...and OH THE BROWN!!! as far as the rest, don't change a thing. Paint it & crank the driveline up, but leave the cheesegrater nose.

It looks to be in good shape, some new carpet and headliner would clean it up nice. Keep the brown and strip the badging and turn it into a sleeper?

why do you have problems finding the console delete stuff? I have console delete parts laying all over my garage from the junkyard.

It was just one of your options. I wouldn't part it either. I'm not into the bastardization of pretty much any Mustang. But I would sell the 82 though, and then restore the 83.

I'd keep that 82 coupe if it were mine. The t-top is nice but IMO it's going to be worth it's top dollar by keeping the exterior and interior all original. I couldn't justify putting any kind money into a car that has a salvage title. Just clean it up really good, fix any little imperfections, and resell it.

original motor, but rebuilt 20 miles ago, literally. I drove it home tonight, and this is the biggest drive it's been on in ten years, literally. this car is amazing, it runs beautiful. carb is too rich, but besides that, this car runs flawlessly, it's blowing me away. I've been chatting with my bro, and I think that I am going to sell off the 82 and restore this one. For sure I'll keep that brown interior. Likely brown outside too, though not 100% sure. As for the motor, it's rebuilt, but I've got a 5.0 roller block with gt40 heads I may swap in instead, as tasteful mechanical upgrades don't usually hurt value of the car, we'll see, I'm going to think this one through long and hard, but I'll never ever bastardize this car.

Nice find on the T-top coupe. I found mine by mistake. We were out four wheeling somewhere we shouldn't and as i flew across the street there she sat covered in mossy green crap with 4 flats. the next day i offered the old man 400 bux. He took 3 weeks to make up his mind but finally i got her. Mine is currently stripped down to nothing. no interior, no motor/tranny, no glass, no wiring, nothing! Gotta get it setup on the Rotisserie and start blastin away. I know it needs new floor pans thanks to some leaky t-tops but other than that she is straight as an arrow

Nice score on that notch. I'd keep the t-top. Also, I'd keep as much of the original stuff on/in the car as you can stomach. The brown interior, although not the prettiest is still pretty damn neat; definitely rare. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks! I've decided to sell the 82 notch, and keep the ttop for sure. I'm going to def keep the brown interior, but the brown exterior may go in favor of something a little more presentable, but we'll see.

The car looks even better during the day, I got it to my place Friday night, and took some day pics yesterday

I'm glad you're keeping the interior the same, I would defenetly keep EVERYTHING as original as possible. including the motor, I wouldnt hack it up,I would even try to "restore" the original paint if at all possible. It is very rare indeed and I would personally give more for it in its original factory condition than with a "cooler" paint job or newer anything. Keep it original..... including the motor.

I'm def considering that, but there are a couple of things to consider too,

1. it has a salvage title, no biggie, car was never in an accident

2. It's missing the buck tag in the front, and the door sticker is not readable, so the two things designating it as an "official" ford ttop car are missing, not a huge deal either, as it is what it is, a VERY rare ttop coupe, however they kinda give me enough reason to not mind modding it as far as the motor and suspension and different paint.

we'll see, i'm trying to figure out what to do. I'm a hardcore preservationist if the early cars, so whatever I do will be in very good taste.
