Spacer Dimensions

I would suggest if you are going as thick as a 1" spacer to use a hub-centric style adapter/spacer that will bolt to the existing lugs which has another set of lugs that you bolt the wheels to. M & M makes a nice spacer like this as do others.

The 1" longer stud has too much stretch to them when torqued and could possibly cause some problems. Also the 1" spacer that just has holes through it can not re-center the wheels as well as the hub-centric design, of course this is just my 2 cents worth . . . .

The spacers you describe are exactly what you need. I run late model bullit wheels and have a 1" spacer. I didnt need any special lugs or lug nuts. Just bolt the spacer to your existing studs, then bolt the wheel to the spacers studs...viola...done. I had a big write up with pics on stangnet, but that was deleted months ago.
